Utility-grade governance and control

Security, control and governance

GridEDi is designed for the security, governance and oversight requirements of regulated utility environments. Every design decision reflects the operational realities of critical infrastructure.

“Designed to support regulated utility environments and critical infrastructure governance requirements.”

Security principles

Built for operationally sensitive environments

GridEDi's security model is designed around the specific requirements of utility operations — where data integrity, human oversight and operational continuity are non-negotiable.

Read-only connections

GridEDi connects to operational systems in read-only mode. It reads from ADMS, SCADA, OMS and GIS without writing back — preserving system integrity and data governance.

Human-approved workflows

All recommended actions require explicit operator review and approval. GridEDi surfaces intelligence for human decision-making — it does not execute operational actions independently.

Audit trail

Operator reviews, approvals and actions are logged to support traceability, governance and post-event analysis within utility-controlled operational workflows.

Role-based access control

Access to operational views, intelligence outputs and workflow functions is controlled by role — aligned to the utility's existing access governance model.

Configurable workflow boundaries

Utilities control the scope and boundaries of GridEDi workflows — including what intelligence is surfaced, to whom, and under what operational conditions.

OT-aware deployment

Deployment is designed to respect operational technology boundaries, control room processes and the governance requirements of live utility environments.

Data governance

Operational data is used within defined, utility-approved boundaries. GridEDi does not aggregate or share operational data outside the agreed governance framework.

Human-in-the-loop

Operators remain accountable for all operational decisions

GridEDi is designed to support operators and controllers, not replace their judgment or authority. Human review is built into every workflow where operational action may result.

Intelligence is surfaced for review, not executed automatically
Operators approve all recommended actions before they are acted on
Workflow boundaries are configurable and utility-controlled
Clear audit trail of operator review and approval
Controlled adoption

Start where confidence is highest, expand with governance

GridEDi is deployed in stages — giving utilities control over the pace and scope of adoption while maintaining governance and operational continuity throughout.

Begin with advisory workflows

Start with intelligence that helps operators understand events more clearly — without changing how decisions are made.

Validate workflow fit

Confirm that outputs are useful, clear and aligned to operational processes before expanding scope or user groups.

Expand with governance in place

Broaden GridEDi's role only as confidence, trust and operational governance mature — at the utility's pace.
